While the movie may be great, this is just another example of the poor cohesiveness of the DC/WB universe relative to Marvel/Disney. Leto is the "universe" Joker but not the stand alone lead. But wait, maybe we will have a Leto Joker solo movie as well.

Wth?

It's already in the works I think for a 2020 or 2021 release

DC can't hold Marvel's jock when it comes to well timed releases and cohesive plots. DC's problem is desperately wanting to keep pace with Marvel though they are years behind. They make decent to good films but Marvel is making great ones.

Marc Maron seems most likely to actually become the Joker in real life. I think he’d be a better pick.

Might be a good movie but DC movies and TV as a whole is a giant cluster.

It's all in the multiverse duh! Lol

That would have been a fantastic way to keep them separate but the TV Universe went and did the multiverse which is why Arrow & The Flash along with Legends are on a different (Earth) than Supergirl and apparently Black Lightning is on a different one form either.

If they would just said all TV shows are on one earth while the Cinematic films are another it would have worked. IMO

Why couldn't DC/Warner Bros. have done this film 15/20 years ago with Mark Hamill bringing his Joker from Batman:TAS to Live Action.
