That's racist!

5 black dudes working on refinishing my pool (irony?). Sounds like 5 different Dave Chappelle skits going on. Ive also heard "oh lawdy Jesus" about 100 times.

So far they have done an excellent job. However I just realized these are the first black folks who have been on my property since I owned this house (10 years).

None more fake than White people wanting to touch black peoples hair. Probably one of the dumbest victimization myths created in a long time.

What exactly is fake about that? It’s not a “victimization myth” to say that that’s essentially white people treating black people like zoo animals, and this thread is mostly white people saying black people aren’t allowed to take exception to it. Shocking that you would hold that opinion

It absolutely is a myth predicated on the idea of always being a victim. No one wants to touch anyones hair. Is yall's hair supposed to be magical or special when it isn't a wig or relaxed? This ain't Tanzania. No one thinks your hair has special properties and can be woven into fishing nets to increase their bounty..

In my personal experience black female hair is often the biggest turn off which is probably why I've only hooked up with the heavily mixed hot ones with natural hair.

No, it's a direct answer that I'm not a white supremacist, therefore how would I know their "code"? I do know that the Coast Guard member surreptitiously used a sign that could be negatively construed as a sign by them that warranted a suspension and being removed from his duties. You all sure are touchy about this.
You've degraded the conversation to continual name calling and he is the one being touchy? You are truly conflicted. Make a statement and stand for something. All you want to do is to be politically correct. Rise above caring about all the feelz and you will find true freedom.

It’s something that happens all the time. The fact that you haven’t personally seen it or whatever doesn’t make it a myth. Probably more than 90% of Black people have experienced that same situation. Part of the problem is white people saying dumb **** like “it’s only real if I see it or do it”

Nothing “sensitive” about it. I’m not tearing up over here, but it’s 100% true. Wanting to touch black people’s hair because it’s “exotic” is awkward and racist
So when a white blonde goes to Mexico and they get their hair touched it's racist? It has nothing to do with the fact it's just "different" ....right? It has to be because the hair touchers feel they are superior .... right? Because you've always got to be a victim? It must suck to think everyone is out to get you or always has an ulterior motive.

It is because it’s different. I’ve never suggested a different motive or said really any of the **** you posted. Racism doesn’t require a conscious intent to victimize someone; someone can do something racist without being “out to get you”

If you’re in a room full of people and single out the black person as “different” and start trying to touch her hair, that is discrimination
