Randy Smith: An Open Letter to Butch Jones

I guess one of the most important things about the Coaching of Butch Jones that Proves his inadequacy were two glaring things that stick out.

1. He sat the NFL Rookie of the Year on the bench for most of the year, but will take credit for his success in the NFL. Mostly used as a backup.

2. Let the team bench Hurd vs having the balls to do it himself. Pretty much affecting two players potential...Not saying that Hurd didn't have an attitude, just saying he pampered several players and would not discipline all fairly and equally.
What's more sad, is that Hurd knew it and wanted a position change of which Jones was not willing to do....

If you can't look a player in the eye and tell him you are not cutting it then you don't have the ability to lead or coach a team.

So how was he "disgraced"?

Failed? yes.
Disgraced? hardly

Well other than in the minds of a few water-carriers for the current staff.
dis·graced

adjective
"having fallen from favor or a position of power or honor; discredited."

He fits that to a "T" ironically enough.

Your last sentence holds no relevance to anything. Jeremy Pruitt may end up being Dooley 2.0. That dont change what or who the car salesman was.
