Pray for Grayson Pope (updated 9/19/23)

🙌🏼 Life Lately 🙌🏼

Busy, busy, busy has been the story of our lives lately but boy are forever THANKFUL and GRATEFUL we are busy!
Our message at church the past few weeks have been on JOY! How to have joy during the hard times, during the trials, during sickness, during accidents, etc. How do you have JOY???
The prayers of God’s people and the power of the holy Spirit make the difference. Since June 6th we have been carried by the prayers of family, friends, loved ones, and those we have never met! The Holy Spirit has been the voice of peace, comfort, and led us down a perfectly planned out road. We wake up every morning and go to bed every night with so much JOY in our heart because joy comes from the inside out!
Grayson began intense vision therapy a couple of weeks ago working on eye teaming, eye strength, and double vision. He is wearing prism glasses to adjust his midline to walk straighter. We will get another pair of glasses next week that will have a small filter on the left upper lens that is supposed to blur out the top double vision and retrain his brain to focus on only one object. We are praying and claiming in the name of Jesus this is the solution to his double vision. PLEASE pray and agree with us over the next couple months!

PT/OT: One day a week at Children’s and one day a week at school. Still working on balance, coordination, and left arm/shoulder/hand. He has also began practice jogging again!

Speech: one day a week at Children’s and 2 days a week at school. He is working on voice strength, pronouncing properly, tongue/lip strength, and breathing! We went back to the ENT for a follow-up to determine if his vocal cords had strengthened from speech therapy. We learned they haven’t and that the left vocal cord is paralyzed. He will have surgery on this May 14th. That same day they will reduce the size of of tracheotomy scar. Please pray with us for a successful surgery and that Grayson’s voice will be restored 100%!!

Atlas Chiropractor: He only goes once a month now instead of every week!!!

Baseball: He is loving every single minute of this time! He doesn’t miss unless he absolutely has to. They have made him one of the assistant coaches and he takes that role very seriously! His main goal is to play baseball again and will work HARD until that happens! The Hewitt Huskies made it to the playoffs so the boys have decided to dye their hair blonde! I’m still getting used to Gray’s! (See Pics Below)
Sorry for the long update and for taking so long to post! Thank you SO VERY much for your continued prayers! We are forever grateful for this community!lIMG_9834.jpegIMG_9835.jpegIMG_9836.jpeg
