How do you feel about Nessler taking uncle Verne's spot? I like Nessler and think it will be an upgrade. I did appreciate Verne after a few shots of whiskey though. He will be missed. Nessler is quite good and will pair well with Danielson.

Guess we agree to disagree

Verne might have been off his rocker but his voice is classic plus it reminds me of Happy Gilmore

Sean Mcdonough - called the 98 game vs Florida. "The kick is.......NO GOOD!" Love him, wish he would do play by play on CBS

No thanks to Danielson. Get tired of him incessantly trying to prove he is right about a play or an officials' call even after replays show him to be wrong.

Ever since John Ward retired, I pay little attention to the announcers. Most do a poor job of adding to the game.

John described the action better than the TV. TV has instant replay.

Nessler is great and Danielson not so much. I'd rather have Andre Ware then Danielson.

"Nessler and Todd on the town Blackledge" would have been better.

Just like good NFL QBs, good TV announcers are in high demand.

One of the best under the radar guys is Dave Logan for the Denver Broncos. A very high percentage of people in Colorado, put their TVs on mute and listen to him on the radio.

I thought they were going to pick him a few years back for MNF but they blew it.

I listened to many Football games on the radio (especially the early games) as we were working on the farm. John Ward was by far the best of any sport, any team!

John made you feel like you had a front row seat on the 50. Truly one of the greats and Tennessee through and through.
Give him six! still rings in my ears.

Nessler probably had to sign an agreement to join Danielson in praising Tim Tebow at least once per game.

Wish they would replace Gary with Todd Blackledge. I always enjoyed listening to him and Brad Nessler when they would call the ESPN Saturday prime time game

WHAOOOOO! I can't stand to listen to Danielson but Andre? The worse I have ever heard. I sometimes wonder if we were watching the same ballgame.

I like Gary. Now they just need to get rid of Mushberger on the SEC network and we're good. Did Mushie retire?

Don't care much either way. If I'm not at the game I usually don't put too much stock in what broadcasters are saying....I worked in radio years ago and quite honestly to 90% its just a job....Not many John Wards around so we can enjoy our memories and mute the TV...I feel like I know at least as much about what's going on as they do anyway....JMO of course....
