I’m a massive Yakuza fan. I’m glad Kiryu is back in the fold, and even happier this isn’t a turn based RPG like 7 was.

It looks great! When I heard about this a couple of months ago, I already saved it to my wishlist on PS5. I'm glad they got away from the turn based style. That doesn't work with this kind of game. I quit halfway through Like a Dragon because I wasn't feeling it.

Unfortunately, it’s not gone from the mainline titles. Yakuza 8 will be turn based, and set in Hawaii for some reason.

Shaping up to look pretty awesome. Those who have never tried the series should pick this up and give it a shot… it’s only $40 since it’s considered a prequel to the next mainline game. That’s a steal nowadays.

Definitely looking like another awesome entry in the series. I always look forward to playing these games. I agree that anyone out there that hasn't played any of the previous games to give this a shot. I highly recommend it. Great price, and I don't mind the digital only release as I've bought several recently that were digital only. Everything else on that video sold me on it.

So far,so good. I'm about 2 hours into it. Seems like it's streamlining the main story before getting into the side quests which is really a big selling point in this game. However, the story seems engaging so I'm enjoying it.

I'm enjoying it so far. I'm fine with there only being 5 chapters with all the side content that this game has. I'm nowhere close to being finished with Chapter 2.

I beat the game today. The LAD8 demo is a treat as well. The ending to gaiden will have you shedding a man tear

You're right about the ending. I beat it last night. It was really bittersweet. The final boss fight was great as well. All in all a very good game to build the story to the next one. Ive yet to try out the LAD8 demo, but will soon. I can't wait to play it when it comes out. I like how they tied all the characters together.
