You asked the source of the rights I to which I was referring. I answered and your comment was what about before the constitution. It's not relevant to the discussion and I have to much to do today to chase you down the rabbit hole.

The bible gives guidance on how to beat your slaves and wife. I don't care if you want to call them indentured servants. It's despicable. I know you like to frame biblical slavery as indentured servitude to put a shine on that turd, but the servitude often lasted for generations with future generations forced into slave labor to cover the debt. Not much different than chattel slavery.
