!! HOT RECRUITING NEWS (not just commits)!! (no discussion)

Tommy Thigpen was in Virginia to meet with EJ Levenberry and Levenberry's father let us know they plan to visit Tennessee the weekend of Jan. 25 as well. At one point, Tennessee was thought out of it but Thigpen has been dogged in his efforts to get the Vols back in it and secure a visit. It's worth remembering that Levenberry has always considered Tennessee as the best game-day environment he's ever been to. They are very interested in getting to Knoxville and seeing what the coaching staff's vision is for Levenberry and the future.

On Tuesday, Bell spent time with Tennessee safeties coach Willie Martinez. Having grown up in Tennessee and knowing several members of the Volunteers’ football team in Knoxville, Tenn., Bell admits he is looking forward to getting to know the new staff.

“Coach Martinez is selling that same point on how he needs me to rebuild Tennessee,” Bell said. “He says [head coach] Butch Jones is a really good guy. He says on my visit they are going to have a Vonn Bell Day on campus and have fun.”

Jones is expected to visit Bell Monday. Bell intends on making his announcement on signing day or the day before.

"My family and I are coming up on Friday for the visit," Miller said. "Coach Thigpen came by earlier this week and I have spoken with coach Jones on the phone. They seem excited to have me coming up there."

"I feel in love with Tennessee when I camped there the first time when I was in 9th grade," Miller offered. "I have just always felt comfortable there and have felt like it was the right place for me."

"The new staff actually offered back in December," Miller said. "Their move to a 4-3 defense opened up the opportunity for me. With the 3-4 scheme they had last year, they wanted taller, thicker defensive ends. Now they want defensive ends who are pass rushers and that style of play fits my game."

"I guess it's possible that I could commit," Miller said. "I have been really comfortable with Tennessee for a while. I have to be comfortable with the new staff which will be my focus this weekend and they have to be comfortable with me so we will see. I'm excited get up there."

EJ Levenberry

Tuesday, Thigpen was in the home of EJ Levenberry as the Vols have some momentum there. Levenberry has always liked Tennessee but he didn't have a good relationship with Sal Sunseri dating back to when he was at Alabama. But, Thigpen has the Vols poised to receive a visit from the Army All-American linebacker as his father let us know they are scheduled to be in Knoxville on Jan.

Re North:

There were far more bball recruits there than football. But CLF was out there at half time with the whole football team as they honored them at the game today. Showcased their 1 All American, their how many ALL ACC and that they won their division. Sort of funny hearing it all as a UA fan. But it did get the arena hoping.

Now in regards to North not really sure who all was with him but I did see him at one time with the other recruits, their host and the families prior to the game. I am not sure if North has a younger sibling or not or maybe another family member or friend was with him, but if should make you guys happy that whoever it was they were wearing a UT hoodie. That orange really stands out in the middle of all that blue.
