Hopefully the hitting comes back or we'll get swept and that would be putting us in a bad situation for the season. Pitching has to be better really everything has to get a lot better right now were Vandy and they don't even have a softball team.

Good news - they've only scored 27 runs in 12 SEC games. SC scored that many against us in 3 games.

Bad news - they are the only SEC team with a better ERA than Georgia. They are 3rd in the country , behind OK and Wash.

At Auburn is going to be a tough series. I was expecting the LVs to run rule TSU in a blowout and get some of their mojo back, but they barely skated by, with most of the run production coming from PH. Can't imagine they're brimming with confidence facing Auburn's pitching staff. Carlson's .64 ERA is third in the NCAA and Martin's is 1.19.

In the past two weeks, Matty has fallen from 1.04 to 1.75 (#77) and Arnold has fallen from 1.40 to 2.43-- out of the Top 150. For all the wild pitches, Sprang is at 2.90. We need all three to be better to overcome this slump.

The pitching has often been right over the plate.....Just ready to knock the hell out of it.

What has happened to them...Stay away from Hawaii.

When Leach and Holcomb get on somebody has to drive them in didn't happen in the Georgia series.

What is Gregg batting over the last 7 games? I haven’t been able to watch much outside of the TSU game. She went 0-3 in that one I believe.

5 for 21 in her last seven games.

Seggern is 7 for 21

Vines is 4 for 18

So that is 16 for 60 or .266 which is way to low in softball.

The LVs and Auburn have diametrically opposite strengths, so it'll be interesting to see who prevails.

Auburn leads the SEC in ERA while Tennessee leads the conference in batting average. Conversely, Auburn is the SEC's worst hitting team, but Moss and Arnold have ERAs of 4.01 and 7.54 in conference games, which ranks 27th and 32nd in the SEC.

The edge should go to the LVs-- but our hitting has been so inconsistent, our pitching has been off and the game's at Auburn, so it's hard to say. If we pitch right down the middle, the advantage goes to Auburn.

LV's have 21 players on that team. It seems like most depend on Gregg, Seggren, Holcomb and Leach to do everything. Look people, there are more players on that team that can play besides a certain few that the Weekly's seem show all their LOVE too. When certain ones make a mistake or strike out they are immediately pulled from the game. But when their favorites make a mistake they stay in the entire game. Somethings wrong here. LV's have some very talented players on that team and the coaches need to show some LOVE to ALL their players. There was alot of talk in the stands all weekend during the Georgia series. Tough love isn't always the right road to go with girls. You've got show these ladies that you have Faith, Trust and that you Believe in them instead of tearing them down every chance you get. Alot of other programs have fun with their team and their coaches believe in them and most of them are winning. Maybe it's time for the Weekly's to take a different approach (times are changing and kids aren't as tough as they use to be). Watched the Georgia team before the game having fun, coaches having fun with them, girls were playing hacky sack before the game, laughing, etc...There is something to be said about enjoying your team and not bashing and cutting them down all the time. Just sayin'...

Arnold must pitch a seven inning shutout and hope we can manufacture a run. Some awful at bats tonight thus far.

I like them bringing Matty in now. We had a chance in an earlier game to go for the win and left Arnold in to long and did lose it. Got to give it a try . JMHO
