Yes, however his ass kissing serves a higher purpose - he may be the only person capable of keeping inmates from complete control of the asylum.

I’d argue that John Kelly is focused on his singular role of CoS to POTUS with no further agenda than that at least right now. It seems to be a continuation of his military service mindset.

I also don’t think he’s naive and doesn’t realize that a successful job as CoS won’t lead to further opportunities down the road if he wants them. But I can’t see any evidence that is his reasoning for taking the CoS role.

Trump is obviously talking about Alex Jones, who has been removed from Facebook. Jones is being sued for defamation for saying that the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre was a hoax and for claiming that the parents of the deceased children are actors who have been paid by lobbyists for gun control. As Trump himself has pointed out numerous times, libel and defamation are not protected by the 1st Amendment. Here is an example of Trump defending a man who spreads fake news all the time, but Trump doesn't care about that because Jones is a supporter of his agenda. It's not libel or fake news that bothers Trump (if it was he would be denouncing Jones and defending the parents of Sandy Hook victims ). What bothers Trump is criticism of him and his administration in any form or context.

It is also comical for Trump to be complaining about censorship. He has called for a critic of his to be fired (George Will from Fox News); not because he said anything that was false about him... but because he was critical of him on his favorite network.

We have no way to know since Trump rarely if ever, cites specific examples but Trump has appeared on InfoWars in the past and praised Jones. He has never been publicly critical of any of the ridiculous things that Jones has said on the air. I do believe that Jones is at least one of the right wing parties that Trump is referring to, yes.

I never said he was the only one he could be talking about but Alex Jones is obviously included because he was removed from Facebook, YouTube and Apple and he is a conservative. It's also easy to see from his past appearance on InfoWars that Trump likes Alex Jones and approves of the things he says.

Here's the thing though: It does actually seem that Trump has gained support among African-Americans since the 2016 election.

The network exit polls had Trump winning only 8% among black voters in 2016. Hillary Clinton took 89% of their vote. That is, Clinton won black voters by an 81-percentage-point margin.

Trump's average net approval rating (approval rating minus disapproval rating) with blacks right now is -72 points. In other words, he's shrunk his deficit by 9 points.

I would argue, though, that the President has made an even bigger improvement. To make an apples-to-apples comparison, we can look at a post-election Pew Research Center study with verified voters. Pew found that Clinton had an even larger margin 85-point margin with black voters, of 91% to 6%. If this study were correct, it would mean that Trump had doubled his black support since the election. (Note: Trump's approval rating with blacks in a Pew poll in June, not included in our average, was 14%. Again, this suggests he has gained since the election.)
