I'm impressed. Do you write a lot of poetry?
No sir. Only when the urge hits me.
Here is the poem in its entirety.
As we walk through this world,
That always seems gray,
Remember the One
That came here to save.
He came for us all,
Including you and me,
He lived and He died
So we all could be free.
No matter who you are
And no matter what you've done,
He gave you a life
And He gave up His son.
He loved you that day,
He loves all of us still,
So why is there pain
And today it seems more real?
You see people aren't perfect
We all make mistakes,
But there is only so much of it
Everyone is willing to take.
We all have our boiling point
In the waters of our souls,
Depending on what's inside you,
You will eventually overflow.
So overflow with the good,
And give up the bad
Because He made you to love
And not to be mad
Everyone wants to be better,
But not everyone wants the chore
As you have to a look inside you,
To see what's at the core.
Life is full of love
If you abandon the hate,
Look to the One above
As an example to take.
Hate is a burden
And love is what we all need,
So I ask each of you now,
Which one will you feed?
