I have a complaint! The microwavable versions of both Kraft Mac and Cheese and Velveeta shells and cheese taste nothing like the original products. This is an abomination!

:whatever:

True. But the original is easily frozen and microwaves great.

That's what you get for being such a lazy ass

The microwavable bowls are single serve, it has nothing to do with being lazy.

Why do so many restaurants screw up mac and cheese? How hard is it to not overcook the noodles making it a mushy disaster?

Connors makes a great mac and cheese.

Most people cook them too long. If you boil them until done.. then drain immediately and run under cold water. If you don't and leave them in the hot water they continue to cook and tada!! Mush..

People make the same mistake with scrambled eggs, they leave them in the hot skillet and they continue to cook and get hard.

Ok. Wanna know who freezes it. Moreso when the kids were younger and money was tighter, McMom and I would make a week's worth of food on Sunday. Sometimes we would freeze portions so they were at less risk of spoiling.
Sometimes mac n chz was one of those foods.

Just put hot dogs and Louisiana hot sauce in it and you won't notice.

lol
When I was in college I always kept hot dogs around to add some semblance of meat to my cheapass college meals. I'd cut up hot dogs and put em in mac&cheese, minute rice, ramen noodles, whatever.

Mac and cheese and minute rice I get but hot dogs in Ramen noodles?

Had me some Yakisoba brand chicken ramen noodles the other day. Pretty darn tasty actually.

Make this:

Read this:

Not only have I made it, but Dave has met me at the door to Community BBQ at ~9:00 AM (not open yet) to sell me frozen take-home-and-bake versions when I'm in Decatur to see a doctor. If you're ever in his neck of the woods during serving hours, come hungry, order lots of items from the menu, take home what you don't finish.
