Just thought this was worth highlighting. Man launched a spacecraft in 1977 that is still going and about to leave the protection of our solar system. It is currently 11.1 billion miles away and still transmitting back to Earth

if you've seen the Pale Blue Dot pic it makes you realize how truly insignificant we are in the universe

of course man launched it. If woman would have launched it the thing would have stopped to ask directions at least twice

mine takes three bags of crap with her for a one day excursion. imagine if you were on an 11.1 million mile trip? is there enough luggage made for that?

Thats quite impressive. Doesn't Voyager (or V'ger) meet up with the Starship Enterprise in a few hundred years?

Don't tell the bible thumpers. Earth is exceptional in Gods universe.

We aren't even the equivalent of grains of sand in the Sahara.

Actually Bible says man is like the dust on a pair of scales. pretty well highlighting mans insignificance in relation to the rest of the universe.

Didn't offend but mathematically the larger the universe is the lower the probability of evolution gets.

Just a simple statistic.

Wrong.

If you want to hear why you have no idea what you are talking about start a thread in the politics forum, I'm not derailing this really cool thread.

I'm interested as to why the larger the universe the less likely evolution took place. I mean evolution is a known fact. It may be happening somewhere else in the universe as well.
