Why not Bill Cowher?

What he thought the chances of us getting Cowher to come here and here is his exact response.

"Cowher wants to coach men, not college kids. I doubt it."

ouch! Thoughts??

Didnt really think there was a chance to get Cowher. Plus he is a NFL coach and the two levels of play are completely different.

Personally, I think there is absolutely zero chance Cowher coaches here next year. He will be in the NFL somewhere, possibly Cleveland.

That's probably how Cowher feels too. Most NFL coaches who are prue NFL coaches feel that the college game is as much babysitting as coaching.

If he doesn't want to babysit, he should know that Kellen Winslow plays at Cleveland.

He's speaking the truth in that Cowher won't be coming to UT.

Cowher's going to be the hottest coach on the market this offseason in the NFL,he planned to take 2 years off and he has and now he'll be back probably with the Browns or Chargers.

I would agree with you, if Carolina was not playing as well as they are right now. I guess it would come down to whether Cowher would want to wait an additional year to see if the Panthers job comes open or not. Carolina certainly would be his first choice, all things equal.

I thought that Cincinatti or San Diego would be more likely for him than Cleveland,or maybe some other job that happens to come open.

Rumors in Cleveland is that they're targeting Brian Billick due to Billick's good relationship with Phil Savage.

Nothing quite like tarring a guy for what he said 10 minutes after a loss that shouldn't have happened.

I remember an NBA player a couple years later going on some tirade before a game or a practice that makes anything Kellen says look like nothing. I don't remember who it was though.

the I'm a mfing soldier earned him whatever ridicule is coming. He knew the camera was there and knew exactly what he was saying. He could have just as easily strolled to the shower to have is little tirade, but he wanted it publicized.
