Mike Bobo, Georgia offensive coordinator
Dave Christensen, Missouri offensive coordinator
Bud Foster, Virginia Tech defensive coordinator
Todd Graham, Tulsa head coach
Bobby Johnson, Vanderbilt head coach
Mike Leach, Texas Tech head coach
Brian Kelly, Cincinnati head coach
Jim Leavitt, USF head coach
Jerry Moore, Appalachian State head coach
Will Muschamp, Texas defensive coordinator
Gary Patterson, TCU head coach
Charlie Strong, Florida defensive coordinator
Brent Venables, Oklahoma defensive coordinator
Kevin Wilson, Oklahoma offensive coordinator

This is the list they compiled on coaches hot seat. Some pretty good coaches mentioned, hope we don't wait too long to pull the trigger.

Don't worry too much...

Unless the available candidates are afraid of having no job offers or just have to be the next coach at Clemson, they won't be jumping to sign right away even if offers are made. They will most likely let the HC market develop as the season goes on to maximize their potential deals through competition among the available teams---NCAA and NFL. I think it would take an extraordinary offer to get a top of the list coach to take a head coaching job at Clemson before they know what else is available---especially for coaches who are currently under contract with teams that are still competing for championships. Nothing against Clemson, just my read on the economics of making big bucks.

Good point. I am sure there are enough communications that agents and boosters are having to ensure that a potential coach is aware of any other openings that have not been announced yet. Clemson will probably contact all or most of these to gauge interest but for a HC to accept a job in mid season is really only someting a Petrino would do.

Reading the Texas Scout board they seem fairly certain that Clemson will make a run at Muschamp. Interestingly, some of the posters also seem to think UTK has already made overtures to Muschamp as well although that could just be wishful Vol fans planting seeds in their minds.

Just like many posters on here have said offer enough money and they will come. Same goes for clemson. Most good coaches are going to wait but if enough money is offered up they will sign.

I agree. One thing that has really helped me not go off the deep end this season is Vandy's surprising success. I bought season tickets for VU thinking I would go to the UTK game, maybe watch Tebow and give away the rest of the tickets but it has been a breath of fresh air just to be around a group of fans who are united and cautiously optimistic even if I am not one of them.

Fulmer's going nowhere. Supposedly B. Johnson is 4th or 5th on Clemson's list.

I think Clemson targets the Tulsa head coach (offensive type, but may be another Bowden), Foster at V Tech or Muschamp. Muschamp would work for $1 mil-$1.5 mil, since he only makes $425K now. Clemson can't afford to pay $4 mil per year for a Saban type coach.

Sorry if this has already been posted somewhere, but this was the first Bowden thread I could find. This aired on the local news here in Charleston, SC last night:
YouTube - Clemson Fan Crying Over Bowden

You have to watch it all the way to the end. Maybe it's just a gamechicken fan messin' around with the newscasters, but who knows. Found it humorous regardless.

One coach has already turned down clemson. from the article it didnt appear that he had been offered it yet. Jim Grobe though has said he is not interested in leaving wake forest for clemson.
