Does anyone else feel like they haven't even watched football this year?

For the first time in 20 something years it feels like I haven't had ANY fun watching Tennessee play. That's just sad. More than that I don't have that optimism that it will get better next year. I'm not looking forward to next year. Way to go Phil.

There has not been much excitement in tennessee football this year thats for sure. The only bright spot.. (if you can even call it that) was the win over UAB. That wasnt even that great.

I can't remember a year where I quit caring about Vol football like this year. I'm coming in for homecoming to see a bunch of old friends and I almost dread going to the game, how sad is that?

I hate to say this, but I found myself rooting for Georgia on some punt-returns, and plays when I thought we were going to get blown out, bc/ I was getting soo mad with our team.......I didn't start really rooting for them until they started intercepting the ball, and looking like they were trying.........it's really hard to root for a team that looks like they're about to give up all the time.........at least our team tried hard, that is a step in the right direction........next step, fire all coaches that move!!!

Seriously, I feel the same way. I feel like I got all dressed up for Homecoming and my date didnt show up. I spent the entire summer oping that bringing in new blood would change things, but it didnt, the air was let out of my balloon and im stuck in damn Big Ten country listening to Ohio State shit all the time.

UT Football is very, very boring. Been that way for awhile now with the exception of the Cal game.

I've had fun watching football this year, not with the Vols but with the TITANS!!!!

Titans provide relief, but i'am a college football guy. At least i was. Give phil a few more years with our team and i'll totally be a pro guy.

I'm with you 100%.I've been feeling this way for quite a while.I think it was g8torh8toreric that started a similar thread like this but I will say like I said to him,I've lost that passion and desire to get pumped up about Tennessee football.Even getting up Saturday morning to watch Game Day,I sit here and wonder is it even worth it to watch our game and think about what kind of crap we will produce for the day.I miss getting excited and pumped up to see our team play.I just want our Tennessee back,I want to see a defense get fired up after making a great tackle,I want to see a drive on offense go 90 yards for a td or one of our backs break one loose for a score.I just want some smash mouth Tennessee football.

It's terrible when, as a Tennessee fan, you have to start cheering 1st downs and forced punts in the 2nd quarter of a game.

My wife and I were both saying this over the weekend (both UT grads). It has almost like it is not fall because Saturday's arent even a celebration anymore.

We are coming in for the Bama game, and we arent even going to pay to see the game. What's the point? At least, we will have a great time tailgating!!
