They have been let down so much over the years. They had the talent but never have put on a good run for the NC. Guess it's gotten on their nerves by now.

They've sucked the last 2 years they played us, and we kinda suck now....why would they get excited this year?

The Alabama beat down was extremely deflating for them after spending time at #1 and flying high for the first month. It's sad to say this about our program, but this game is being somewhat overlooked and has a "trap" quality to it.

I am sure its harder to be excited after a big loss. Hopefully we dont give them a big win to get them excited again.

A win this year over TN is in no way considered "big".

Yes I know .. I meant score wise. I obviously want UT to win. I wouldnt be as upset if it was a close game however.

It is if you've lost 3 out of your last 4 against them

I'm in grad school down here and the atmosphere is completely different than it was against UT two years ago or Auburn last year or Alabama two weeks ago. One sure-fire way of looking at the excitement is the price and abundance of student tickets. Two years ago I paid $100 for a ticket in the upper deck of the student section after I looked for about three weeks. This year, I just paid $75 for a front row ticket of the student section (only in the lower section do you actually sit where you're supposed to). Sports talk also hasn't spent much time talking about the game. They've focused on Fulmer's job prospects and Tech far more than they have UGA's preparations.

The UGA fans I know are still in the dumps over that bama blowout at home. They were expecting an easy ride to the national title game in Miami, and now a couple are questioning if they can even beat Florida. I think UGA beats florida, but may lose to lsu, which looks like the better team (on paper). But, UGA can still win the east, even with 2 losses, if they beat UF.

ever since the 2004 ut loss, the fans have lost confidence in ritch, that's what a couple of my uga friends say in big games. They won the 05 sec title and had a good season last year, but they just don't have the same confidence in ritch.

something tells me we've settled in to our role as "potential stumbling block" for the contenders quite nicely.

that's about right seeing as how they've settled in to contender status this season.

the planets must be aligned right......or wrong.........depending on your point of view.
