My positive thought of the day.

I heard Tony Barnhart say last night that uga would have it's hand full. I don't know that he called for the upset but it was clearly on his mind.

I know I have talked a lotta smack on here b4 about rival teams but I don't see why they make this prediction, not unless it is the fact that Stephens is starting and could have a breakout game if the defense is not on the field 80 percent of the game and they don't run the football most of the time, which was a dumb move against NIU. I say that if we haden't of ran the football so much, the score woulda been a lot worse, Stephens is a lot more of a confident QB who stands in the pocket and stands tall and throws with strike and accuracy, give the kid more of chance Clawson, shoot throw about 90 percent of the game and then run the ball up the middle to wear the D out and finish the ballgame.
It had to be the CBS experts they have to build tv ratings some way!

If we can get past the "Self-Destruct Syndrome" where we fumble the ball away, throw interceptions, incur personal fouls, we have a 50/50 chance of pulling the upset.Go Vols! Go home Phil!

I think some of you all are just overly optomistic. I was before the Florida game, but not since then. We are not going to win this game. Actually, I think we are going to find out in this game that our defense is not really all that great either. By playing a decent opponent I think our defense will crumble in the second half because they will be tired from playing most of the game. On offense we will have some bad runs and a few short passes and thats it. I don't see us comming closer than 27-9.

I love that we're now relegated to the Vandy role - when chosen to win several people roll their eyes and just kind of laugh like someone retarded is talking.

Remember its not the size of the dog in the fight its the size of the fight in the dog. Smokey maybe beaten down but don't count him out yet. Stephens looked good in last weeks game. Just remember he had only took two snaps in his college career before the NIU game. Georgia does not have a lot of film to watch concerning him. I agree our O-line needs kicked in their butts for not opening up lanes for our backs to slide through. I believe The Vols will step up to the plate and drive this one home. Why should Georgia prepare for us when they have nothing to fear. That's when we mash then in the mouth and knock them to there a$$es.
20 to 17 VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you mean "like?" It is sort of one of those "when there's smoke, there's probably fire" things.

My favorite game in this rivalry also just happened to have UGA as the favorite. Not only did the Vols go into the game with a quarterback completing less than 50% of his passing attempts, but the all-america candidate running back was lost for the season in the game before. Georgia was coming off of a huge road victory over LSU and according to all the pigskin prognosticators, there was no way the Vols would win. The Vols' defense rose to the occasion and shut down the highly regarded Dawgs offense and the Vols won 22-3.

you might want to check arian's stats against the dawgs he always has a big day aginst them...

If UT upsets UGA, I'll be partying hard in Athens all night long at the music clubs baby!!! If UT loses, I'll still be partying, but not all night. Athens has some great clubs, good local bands.
