Regarding Crompton not needing to read Internet message boards.

A reporter asks the question around the 1:45 left mark.

Yes! We are making an impact :p VolNation might be more relevant than our football team

CPF is so tired and stressed. This is going to kill him if he isn't careful.

Exhibit A as to why he should have retired last year, while he was still somewhat in good graces.

I feel bad for the guy, no doubt, but you see it too many times. Coaches stay long after the game passes them by, and I would be hard-pressed to find a good example of one who reclaimed old glory

We all give him so much crap. And I agree the last 10 years have had their ups and downs (way too many downs).

But he took us to the mountaintop. For that I'll always be grateful. But I've never seen him look so deflated, so hopeless, so worn out, or so depressed. He really needs to call it quits, more for himself than for the fans who want to see Tennessee back on top.

Someone please get this man to step down before it kills him. He doesn't have a good look to him.

He IS a good man and deserves to be remembered with honor and dignity. He has impacted young men's lives for the better in ways that go beyond a football field. I am seriously worried about him after watching that video, yet he talks about using the midnight oil. C'mon coach...your health is more important than a football record.

kinda like Paterno and Bowden....they all had losing years for a little while and their fans abandoned them too until this year :)

Health doesn't matter if you're a winner....bet he would rather die on the sidelines coaching his troops than sitting on a porch growing old and wasting away

Oh please...he would have enough speaking engagements to keep him off the porch for ten years or more.

I hardly think a 3-1 record against the likes of Western Carolina, Chattanooga, Colorado and including a loss to Wake Forest in which they were flat out shut down constitutes a turnaround. If that is what you are hoping for then you really have decided to accept the mediocrity.

Penn St. MAY be for real, but the Big 10 is crap. So I guess we won't know until their bowl game.
