My UGA neighbor had mentioned this to me about Rich Rodriguez.I wondered if it applied to Clawson as well, not Fulmer, Clawson.

I really don't think that's much of a factor. One of Clawson's strengths was supposed to be having a dynamic offense that could adapt to personnel.

and getting the ball to the playmakers. got to have someone that can deliver the ball first.

If, at the end of the day, it means Fulmer is gone, I am ok with that

I think Clawson and Nunes could be a really good tandem. If they hit it off so quickly and so well that Nunes committed after a phone call that's going pretty well.

Clawson and Crompton seem like they're not only on different pages... Crompton isn't even in the library it seems.

Agreed, but would say that all I read and heard was this was a smart mans offense though, you have option routes being run, you have to be able to read and react, something that is quite obvious, is not Cromptons strongest attribute.

If I was Nunes the worst the season the happier I would be. Immediate playing time. If we go 7 and 5 I would say he would get a stronger look at being next year's quaterback vs. going 10 and 2. Just my opinion though. I agree with the UGA neighbor I think Clawson needs a quaterback to run his style of offense. Because the way crompton has played so far I would say Clawson is holding a lot of the offense back.

Nunes was hand picked by Clawson so He saw something there he really liked..I agree that Clawson needs he own players to run that style of offense but honestly, It isn't much different than what We have been running since the Johnny Majors era.

I think Clawson deserves more than 1 year. The scaled back offense is not his decision. that is on CPF. If Crompton is not the answer, then i like the option of Nunes playing early next year.

This offense is NOT what was being run during spring/summer practice. Not even close. That is CPF or Crompton's fault, not Clawson. He needs some time to make it work. I liked his ideas at UCLA, Ut just had no one to get the ball down the field.

I think Clawson is not the problem. Its higher than him or the QB!
Start Nunes next year and see what happens from day one!!!

The SCHEME or TALENT has NOTHING to do with this.

This team can't even do the fundamentals.
They have at least five offensive line penalties a game.
They have unforced fumbles.
Personal fouls.
Repeated punt to kick returners we KNOW we can't cover.
The coaches (OC) has no clue when it comes to time mgmt.

Name any of those that Florida displayed on Saturday. Talent is the least of our issues right now. Even Vandy can compete with SEC talent when they get their fundamentals down.

no, he runs a high school offense and that is the results he gets. i live up by toledo ohio and i swear almost all these little farmer schools run this offense.

he is running a form of the run and shoot. yes i played football 4 years in highschool, and i think your the one that is a uneducated football fan. clawson should have already been released to go wherever he wants to. he is terrible.

No. He's not. On both counts.

And I played football for 7 years.

Good lord. Ignorance abounds.

I think it was Brent Hubs that was talking about the offense on the radio this morning.

He said they are not running the offense Clawson wants to run. They keep scaling it back each week because the players (Crompton?) can't grasp it yet. Supposedly the offense that was being run in the late summer looks totally different from what we are seeing on the field right now.

I am definately on the "don't throw Clawson under the bus" side right now. Let's give the man some time and see what he can do with a competent quarterback under center.

where are the results champ. we can't score, we can't move the ball and this saturday we will probably be held scoreless. this offense is the worst offense i can remember in 20 years. it is a form of the run and shoot, we used it in highschool. we just used alittle more motion and ran it a hell of alot more. if you think clawson should be retained you must be a bamer.

We havent been able to see his offense because it is dumbed down to the level of retardation. Once we get a QB and some players with actual speed then we will see his offense. Its not his fault that we are slow and JC is picking up any reads right now.

BTW, if you are going to call names at least spell it right. BamMer

i don't think phil has 3 years for dave to get his players in place, he will be gone by then.

You will start seeing results by the end of the season. All he is lacking is the QB play up the level that is expected of an SEC QB. Once JC or whoever starts doing that he can open up the playbook. I also think that Phil has a pretty tight leash on him
