| Perception of Florida I am not predicting anything with the UT UF game, but I really don't think Florida looked as good as last year. I perceived them to be the best team on the field basically every game last year (the LSU game was even for me) and it felt like they only lost as a fluke. For some reason the do not seem near as invincible this year. I know it is just my perception (don't take it to the bank lol) but I really was disappointed with this supposed "NC contender." Their O line looked AWFUL! Now sure, its only two games but come on! Miami's offense is terrible and, although they only had 3 points to speak for, their offense looked better than Florida's for half the game imo. Am I the only one that thinks this? |

| I see your point, but I think you are discounting Miami just a little. I agree, I thought UF would win that game EASY. One other thing also, every team is going to have a off night or not play there best game, that might be a reason why UF didn't look like the UF the media has hyped up. |

Most of Tebow's game was about little swings to receivers who made big runs or blown coverage. I don't think UF presents the challenge down the field that they did and their D is iffy at the very best. Posted via VolNation Mobile |

| That is true, I was just shocked at how often people were getting through and attacking Tebow. |

| It also makes me wonder if Florida is focusing way too much on skill positions and not enough on defense & in the trenches. I don't really follow recruiting too closely (esp florida's) but all their speed is basically pointless without a line. I seems at one point remeber them saying their O-line was "lean" and had few people over 300. Could of just been Brent making crap up. |

| I am pleased to see expectations for the Gators being lowered around here. |

Yeah, we covered but only because Meyer is a jerk (sarcasm). |

| Doesn't matter. The Gates will still beat UT. |

The bigger concern for the Gators is that the Canes show promise and, years from now, that may give Gator foes a chance. The Canes are coming back, don't you agree? |

| Last night's game proved that, once again, Florida's offense can be slowed down with controlled blitzes.
Miami also had a ton of speed on the corners, and it seems like Florida's offense likes to use its speed to run east-west then north-south.
Hopefully, Chavis was watching closely... |

Absolutely agree 1000 percent. Miami always has been and always will be a thorn in Florida's side. Even if we don't play them in a given year, they will vie for top recruits out of the talent-rich South Florida.
Only reason we are where we are now, in fact, is that with Miami and FSU in retreat the last 3-5 years, Florida snuck in there and got some of that Miami Killian and Belle Glade nastiness to come to UF to better their chances of going to the NFL.
That is over and so we are going to have to compete again with Miami and, eventually, FSU. |

We don't appear to have the talent they do now at offensive skill positions. They're much faster than the Vols already and so far, more fun to watch.
Their DL looked promising as well.
Btw... I've been enjoying some of the Tebow specials of late. Personality wise, he is Meyer's opposite. He's actually a good guy, a great competitor, and I can't wait to see him play in the NFL. |

| They weren't great but they won. They covered the spread. They have the film to improve with. |
