What is more, this guy has stared death in the eye and brushed it aside. Not only would I want him in my backcourt, I'd want him in my foxhole — by my side for any battle.

Excellent!

I just can't see Lofton getting a shot. I hate that he got cancer and had a weak season, because I think if he had another monster like his junior year he would be picked up by someone.

So has Lance Armstrong. I don't want him playing on my NBA team, either. The NBA isn't into charity cases and sob stories. It's a business.

Loften is a good enough shooter to be an NBA player.

He's not a good enough "everyday" player to play in the NBA.

That's the reality of the situation.

We had a first team all american (JR year) & when the guys hu hum were getting sliced & diced, he still managed to make third team AA!!? Put some faith in our guy! An NBA team will see this & use him as a leader, and with his drive, he'll go from roll player to contributor. I'd say a small Shane Bat. (Not even gona try to spell that one.)
