Question on Dan Williams

Anyone else worried that if he has a monster year he leaves early?

he has done nothing to lead me to believe he will have a "monster year", so no.

other than the fact he got better and better with every game last year and was very dominant in spring practice? What more do you want from him?

Wouldn't mind seeing a video of him doing this before every game.

YouTube - John Henderson's pregame warmup

you're looking too much into what i said. i hope he has a great year. but all i'm saying is i don't see anyone on the current defensive line having a breakout season in 2008. solid year yes? john henderson/jesse mahelona or albert haynesworth type year? no

Ya, if someone had a good enough year to be a threat to leave early, I would take that as a good thing.

Dan Willliams was easily our best DL last year and he will easily be our best DL again this year. He could easily have a huge year and be a 3rd round or better draft pick and leave early. He is a much better pro prospect than Jesse Mahelona ever was.

As much as Tennessee does not need to lose any depth on the DLine, Williams and, or Bolden getting drafted might help to sway some future recruits.

Agree 100 percent.

Williams is around 6' 3" - 6' 4" if I'm not mistaken, and Mahelona was at least a couple of inches shorter.

Better prospect or not, I would trade him for any DT on our current roster.

I really think you'll change your mind by midseason on Dan Williams. You won't want him replaced by anyone, save #92.

I never said Dan Williams was a better prospect than Mahelona.
