I'm pretty sure he's the guy that wanted Notre Dame to rise in the rankings after losing, expected USC to be embarrassed by Oklahoma, thought UF would be decimated by Ohio State, and was infuriated that the 2006 National Championship was not an Ohio State-Michigan rematch. |

He did think Ohio State would kill Florida, and he was not one that wanted an Ohio State - Michigan rematch, he said that the winner of that game deserves the spot, and the loser doesn't, so I don't know where you get your information. |

| Unless he changed his opinion on multiple TV appearances, then I'm not sure what to tell you because I know that he thought USC would hang with Oklahoma, He didn't want Notre Dame to move up, and didn't want a re-match championship game. |

Pre-game USC-Oklahoma Corso picked USC. Herbie picked Oklahoma and said it was likely to get out of hand. On the gameday wrapup following ND's close loss to USC, Herbie had them moving up in his rankings.
He actually later retraced the OSU-UM rematch idea after Corso and Fowler made fun of the idea.
In defense of Kirk, he took the loss to UF very, very well. |

| I was at a bar here in G'ville, SC, and couldn't hear the audio. But the piece wasn't that long was it? Was he saying UT would make some noise in the East.
By the way, Blake Mitchell was also at the bar, too. |

| I met Herby and Ron Franklin before in Charlotte. At a Bassmaster Classic Afterparty. Both Really Nice. Ron Franklin told me straight up his favorite place to attend a game was Neyland! He said it is always Electric Atmosphere and TN always plays with so much heart that they are always fun to watch. Herby smiled and said "The Hill is the core of the SEC!" |

ESPN's staff aren't paid to make accurate predictions or have accurate analysis. Trev Alberts (although clearly not a mental giant either) had the most accurate predictions of anyone on their college crew, and he left ESPN because they dumb it down to an extraordinary level. (Dan Patrick another example from the talk radio world). ESPN is like everyone else in the national media; they are experts at making rediculous predictions and covering their footprints. Cue the Les Miles heading to Michagin incident.

| I just ignore anything he says if it has to do with Ohio State.. if you take that out he has decent information compared to a lot of the people they put on ESPN. |
