Ordinarily, I would agree with much of what you say, but there are a couple of exceptional circumstances at work here. First, as to the Cap One game, you have to give Michigan and Henne in particular a lot of credit. He was en feugo that day. Second, Florida's defense seemed particularly lethargic to me for that game. Disinterested almost. I blame Strong for not having them prepared. I'm willing to give him a pass on it since his unit in '06 showed what he is capable of putting together. Hopefully their abysmal performance 1/1/08 has caused him to refocus.
As to the defense getting worse over the course of the year, I don't know what to say. Part of me wants to agree in that they seemed to decline from the UT game to the end of the season. But I'm not sure how much of that is their decline versus, let's be honest, better offenses as time wore on. Kentucky's offense, for example -- and definitely Georgia's -- looked a whole lot better than UT's. So, I'm not sure that our defense got worse as much as the offenses we faced got better. Maybe both?
As to defensive coaches getting more geared up for Florida, I think there is some truth to that. Certainly a lot of Meyer's playbook is now public record. The key difference may be the presence of a viable running game this year. I think Tebow will run very infrequently now. Having to acocunt for legitimate RBS coming out of the backfield with ball in hand is a new wrinkle for the Florida O this year.
Cure all? Remains to be seen. But in terms of defensive planning for us, its an issue for you.

Clever, but I cannot recall in any of my posts in years past ever asking another VN'er whether he has performed a homosexual act on a player, much less called it out by name.
So good for you.

I guess that, as antognistic as I know I sometimes am on VN, I have so far refrained from just blurting out knee-jerk "oh yeah, well, you're a homo" type of lines.
But, hey, if that suits your rhetorical style, then by all means go ahead and start in on the "Gayturds," the Tebow-is-gay jokes, and other such nonsense. Oh, wait. You already have.

Remember, I'm not paying you per word or minute so short answers are fine for both of us.

Hey now! Gayturds is part of the sports vernacular now and is FULLY acceptable. Just like bammer is.

Evidently I don't know its not true. Wait, I mean is it true? Wait, wait, is it false but I think its true? Wait, what I mean is ...
I'll take your last as a sign of maybe a tinge of regret on your part for having maybe gone a little off the deep end. We'll pick up where we should have, which is ...
Who has the better "skill position players," Florida or UT? Be honest. By skill position I mean QB, RBs, TEs, and WRs. If you want to throw in kick returners, that's fine by me, but probably won't help your cause much.

| I think it's Florida, no doubt in my mind but to say we have skill players that are made up of all 3 star players is flat wrong. |

| For the record, it's not that much of a difference for the starters. Now someone else do the two and three deeps and report back. Vols
