| Who wins the SEC Championship, Tennessee vs LSU Who do you honestly think will win this game at a neutral site in Atlanta? I want to pick Tennessee, but Fulmer has had his problems in the past in big games (bowl games).

| if foster runs for about 125 and a couple TD's, Tennessee wins. If we can't get the running game going LSU will handle us. |

| I'll pick LSU until I see us play a full game of football again. I will be rooting the Vols on the whole game though. GO VOLS! |

| Somebody a couple of days ago said that we match up better against LSU than Kentucky, and I agreed enough that I didn't even want to talk about it- scared of jinxing things.
The problem is, and always will be with the current coaching team and philosophy that Fulmer has put together, the psychological side of the game.
I think if we're ahead at the half, somebody should shove Phil in a closet and lock the door until the 3rd quarter starts. No man/ coaching team seems less capable of half-time psychology and adjustments than he/they do.
To make matters worse, since D wins championships, for several years before this one it was the O that would psych-out and sometimes carry the D with it. This year it's the opposite.
When the Vols show up and aren't leading (or leading by much) at the half we can take anybody in the SEC. We've also proven, entirely for mental reasons, that we can lose to anybody in the SEC.
Right now LSU's Dorsey is hurt, and it has had a huge impact on the TIgers' D (see: AR-LSU). But LSU is also even more embarrassed than we ought to be right now, and they've got a coach who understands that psychology IS his job. We've got a coach who puts it off on players not showing up when there's a mental collapse.
After the game Fulmer said that we've got Heart. I agree. But, unfortunately, as my dating history will attest, neither heads nor hearts are much good if they aren't functioning together.
We have what it takes to beat LSU, but only if we realize that they have as much heart as we do, and therefore the win is going to depend on which team has its head the furthest from its as$. |

| Would also like to add....LSU isn't among the most physical of teams. Although idk if we match up with them in a track meet. |

My thoughts exactly. And throw Chavis in there with him. Heck, just get rid of Chavis altogether and let Cutcliffe run the defense too. |

| If we win this one it will be because Ainge and Foster carried us. They won't let us throw those dink and dunk passes. The OL will have to play their best game of the year, especially the interior OL. Their O doesn't really scare me that much because I think UK has a better O. This will be a defensive game for sure, and I think we can take them if we play a full game of football and not just a half. C'mon boys bring us home a championship. |

| Trying to be as impartial as possible...
My biggest concern is how tired we are going to be. We just finished our second straight game where our starters didnt get a break, except that this one took forever to wrap up.
I think we could get one of two Lsu teams...either a pissed off Lsu who is going to demolish us, or a demoralized Lsu who, with no nc to play for an a possibly outgoing coach, come out flat.
We know Lsu's defense can be scored on. And Dorsey wont be 100%. Thats huge for us.
I dont fear anyone on Lsu's offense.
I really think we have a good chance at staying in the game from start to finish. Just shut down their running game, force Flynn to beat you...because he wont. And anyone that wont challenge our secondary is going to help us tremendously. Offensively, we should be able to score at 24. They havent really shut someone down in what seems like a couple months. |
