Twin or Three TE sets...

I remember Cutcliffe talking about see ALOT of these types of sets in camps this preseason. Where are these sets?? I see 2-3 WR sets more than what he said we would run. I think Cut needs to realize that he has to run the ball 60% of the time and pass 40%. We can't sustain winning throwing 60% of the time in the SEC. Honestly though, when will Cut go back to what he did when Peyton was here?? He had the stable like he has now and turned it lose more often than not. He's just not the same coach he used to be, just like Fulmer and Chavis aren't the same coaches they used to be. Sure being nice and family oriented attract recruits, but when you can't use them it becomes a mute point. I just wish we would use Cottam and Stocker more. We have the best TE's in the SEC and we don't use them to their potential.

Interesting observation. I didnīt see all of the UT-Bama game (they cut to UK-UF), but I saw UT pound the ball effectively early with Foster, but then seemed to abandon the run. Cut knows more football than all of us put together, but if itīs working, I say we donīt abandon it.

Ainge is no Peyton, so you have to tailor your offense for your QBīs strength. Ainge is a good QB, but you have to run the ball to give him a shot at success.

2-3 TE sets sounds kind of old school, but it could be that heīs waiting for the right D to put them up. Footballīs all about matchups. If your scheme doesnīt fit the matchup, you canīt use it, no matter how good an idea it is.

We run tons of 2 TE sets, Brown just happens to be lined up at HB in these. We run alot of 3 TE sets when it is short distance.

The touchdown throw to Stocker was a three TE set.

Cottam was down on the left. Brown was in motion on the left side, baiting the defense to that side, and Stocker was down on the right side when he popped up and got open in the flats.

We lost one of our starting TE's to injury(Cottam). I agree we should run more but not out of 3 TE sets. I would rather spread it out and run. Our backs are good cut back runners and need space.
