What I had heard that day that was Crews was notorious for dropping by a local establishment on Magnolia Ave drinking and burning blunts with some of East Knoxville's most dubious characters. The stories that people were telling of his antics and his circle of friends were jaw dropping. This was openly discussed that afternoon when I was on Magnolia.

Keep it up... but this is not a joking matter. I've already made fools of the other people on here that have doubted me earlier pertaining to this. I have a feeling that another shoe will drop in the coming days and weeks as people begin to dig into the story more. It wouldn't be a hard story to get to the bottom of.

Nobody else that I know of. Everything that I've heard from the people I know leads me to believe that there is enough dealing with Crews to write a book on.

Wait a minute..............Duke Drews and Brent Vinson are/were close friends right? I hope that Vinson is staying out of trouble, he will be a great corner this year.

I can't believe a UT player in any sport would smoke or drink.

If he committed crimes against other people or propery etc, which TVA is borderline hinting at, yeah that's bad, but drinking and smoking weed with shady people is pre-school.

If it was just about drinking and smoking, then yeah... there wouldn't be a big issue.

Yeah...because no one has ever gotten into serious trouble by starting out this way....

And..maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I refuse to accept that it is OK for anyone to regularly smoke weed. I understand that people want to experiment, and if it happens once or twice, I don't think you're probably going to get in too much trouble. But, until it is legal, I don't see any value in acting like it is OK (just because a lot of people do it).

note....your post doesn't necessarily say it is OK, so I'm not necessarily replying to you in this part as much as I am to the general attitude of "of course the players smoke weed...every college kid does."

I am 100 percent sure I saw Duke Crews, and 95 percent sure I saw Ramar Smith with Duke Crews, in front of Neyland Stadium before the Southern Miss football game last September.

Duke looked like he had been smoking grass. Ramar was acting pretty quiet. I was going to go over and get an autograph until I saw the condition Duke was in.

Don't get me wrong, Duke wasn't stumbling around high, but his eyes were red and glazed over. I thought it better to leave him alone. I also convinced myself that it wasn't Duke and that I was probably mistaken. Then, right before kickoff, here comes Duke and Ramar walking down the isle in the section I sat in.

I was pretty shocked that Duke was out in public in that condition.

It took me way further than I wanted to go. People who smoke it try and defend it like it doesn't lead to other things. This is only because they like it and don't want to quit it. Most people that smoke it regularly are the laziest people in the world. They generally don't get much done in life and tend to be late or absent to obligations. If I had started smoking weed any earlier than I did, I probably wouldn't have gotten a college degree. Thank God I was given second chances or I wouldn't be in the position that I am in today. Don't ever let anyone tell you that weed doesn't lead to other things because I'm proof that it does. It did with me and thank God I got through all of that crap. I now have a healthy family and solid career but have been on the other side of the tracks before.

What is even more amazing to me is that people automatically assume failed drug test = smoking weed... Like weed is the only drug out there.
