| Opened my eyes a little bit A few days ago, I would have thrown a fit if someone talked bad about our players or coaches. I didn't understand why we were being so hard on them.
Today I watched the game of Saturdays defeat, that I had taped, pressing rewind A LOT. Noticing how many times we could have took Best down if we would just have wrapped him up. Forearms to the pads don't take running backs now days, no matter how small he is. But is it right to blame the players? Yeh, a little...but these guys need to be taught how to wrap up, drag down, reach out and grab whatever the hell you can get your hands on. On Bests' little scamper to the 4-5 yard line, he was TOUCHED in the back with a forearm, TOUCHED in the leg before being knocked out of bounds 75 yards later.
On the other side, boring. Had a few plays where Erik went down the field, and a few plays that Foster and Brown looked like a FREAKIN BEAST! But that's it.
Special teams...I'm not even going to say anything.
This made me open my eyes a little bit. Yeh Fulmer and Co. are good coaches, but maybe they are not up to date with the athleticsm of te players now days. Do they not realize that, maybe they study tapes of us just like every other college football program? Maybe we should throw in some trick plays, grow some balls and go down field. I know we don't have Meachem but thses dudes are just too damn conservative.
And for God sakes, teach these guys to tackle, if my High School team missed that many tackles we couldn't walk the next day.

| Tackling wouldnt have helped on the punt return either, too many blocks in the back. Still woulda lost but that was pitiful. |

| Good tackling and good instincts would really have helped. Our D looked like they didn't even know he had the ball |

Just a misdirection or a reverse every now and then to keep the defense honest. We may get luck and play a defense that is just as undisciplined and over pursues on plays like the Vols defense usually does.
But I will say this, lining Ainge up as a receiver is not a good set to be running out of. If you are gonna put Lucas Taylor/Eric Berry or whoever behind the center, put another athlete on the field that will actually pose a threat as being a receiver. Everybody in the country knew that Ainge was not getting the football. |

I did notice your punter tackling someone by pulling on his helmet though. edit: all those mentioned by you guys are blocks in the SIDE, which is not illegal. |

Pass interference, facemask, unsportsmanlike.
Of coarse I'm being hypocritcal, cuz if it was the other way around I'd be yelling "It's football get over it!" |
