| Well foster is not a celebrated back nor has he shown the type of play where you get that kind of trust. Lewis fumbled some too but they also ran for a lot of yards. |

Besides, Coker and Hardesty will pick up the slack. |

| So, the UT fans are elated that he's back in time for the Southern Miss game and then to play Florida?
That should just about end the Marcus Thomas comments from you folks for awhile, I would think. |

Sorry, chief. Good try.
First, that's not what rankled UT fans last year. They were miffed that Thomas came back to play them, in the SEC opener. Second, the fans posting here are pleased because he will be back for UF. Its a subjective kind of thing. You can't complain that Thomas came back to play UT, claim that Meyer is weak, and then be happy that Fulmer let Coker back on the team so he can play Florida. Third, if you read the posts on this site, no one seems to think that Cal is 1/5 the challenge of, say, Florida.
Personally, I'm glad for the young man that he is acting responsibly. I hope he plays well and overcomes his problems. I'd rather you be full strength, anyway. |

Thomas got suspended against the Coast Guard. Coker is suspended against Cal in what should be a huge game. To be honest, UT fans aren't that worried about Florida either. We lost by one point to a team that won't be nearly as good this year. |

| Thomas didn't DESERVE to be back against the Vols, as he had proven BEFORE the game, and long AFTER the game. THAT is why we can continue to harp on that issue. Quote:
The defensive end was suspended one game - against Division I-AA Western Carolina and was a first-round draft pick by the Denver Broncos in April.
Thomas reportedly failed multiple tests, was suspended twice and finally dismissed from the team Nov. 3 after Thomas failed to meet the requirements Meyer set for his reinstatement.

I can't hear what you are saying because it is clear that your rooting interests have overcome any semblance of intelligent thought. Quote:

Sigh. How many times do I have to explain the facts? Meyer wanted him off the team. But the enforcement of that policy was in university hands, not his. Thomas appealed the university decision claiming that the second positive test was from the same usage as the first. The university could not disporve it, and so they had to relent else violate his procedural due process rights.
But they put him on a short leash. And as soon as he violated the most minimal rule -- missing a simple counseling session -- Meyer booted him. |

Exactly! Thank you LawGator, way to point out the hypocrisy. In the minds of Vol fans the game against SMU is a trillion times more daunting than the game against the pathetic hippie/tree huggers from that pansy team Cal!
