Before a Tenn. football game starts is there any superstitious things you do like turn your socks inside out. Is there anything you have to do before a game starts besides load up on beer? I just get nervous and pace the floor and I can not sit during a game if I am at home.

I always buy a new UT hat the week before the first game of the season.
That's about the only ritual type thing..... unless you count the lamb I sacrifice at the Big Orange altar before every game...

I get terribly nervous before a game. I used to not cuss before or during games even when things were going badly, I thought that would bring us bad luck. Then during the Arkansas game in 1998 when it looked like we were going to lose for sure I let out the most terrible string of obsenities you've ever heard. Guess what? Ark. QB fumbled and we went on to win the game. I learned after that superstitions are just that, superstitions.

I cuss, rant, and rave during games still to this day. I use to be extremely bad when ole Randy Sanders was callin the plays. u wanna talk about being pissed that was me, hitting doors, throwing stuff. being in college the only solution was that i would drink my sorrows away

My worst rant was after the 2000 Florida game when the refs stole it from us with the Gaffney catch/no catch in the end zone. :realmad: Kicked over garbage cans, broke porch railings, it was really bad, made a complete @ss of myself. After that I calmed down a little. I still get mad and let loose some choice words after a loss, but I try to put it in the back of my mind and look forward to the next game.

Jack and Coke.

For games I attend, all day tailgates.

For TV games I pace incessantly until the outcome is decided. I also watch these alone, I don't like distractions.

Usually have a hard time sleeping the night before big games.

I always wore the same socks on gameday. I might have missed wearing them 4-5 times over 4 years.

There were also a few different band rituals that I did every week, without fail.

Closest to pre-game ritual is making sure I have my UT jersey and visor to wear during the game. And although Finevol stated besides beer... It is a big part of the pregame ritual.
