Why is Vandy the #2 and us the #3 seed. Do we not have the same conference record? I guess they may have beaten more SEC East teams or something.

You would think that it would be decided by the two meetings between Tennessee and Vandy, in which we clearly won..

Well look at it this way, the Vols will have more wins once they win the SEC tournament. :)

if we win the sec tournament, we are the either the last 3 or first 4 seed.

I thought it was because they swept somebody that we didn't.

I would think they would put the two scores together.

82-81, Vandy won

+

84-57, Tennessee won

=

165-139, Tennessee wins! :)

We split head to head, with each team winning on its home floor.

From sec.org:

For a two-team tie: 1. head-to-head; 2. division record (10 games); 3. record vs. No. 1 team in division proceeding through the No. 6 team if necessary; 4. non-division record (6 games); 5. record vs. No. 1 team in the opposite division proceeding through the No. 6 team if necessary; 6. coin flip by the Commissioner.

We are 6-4 against the division, Vandy is 7-3.
