| I live about 45 minutes from Bristol in Greeneville. Never been to a race though. I don't even watch much of it on TV. I just check in every now and then to see how my man, DALE JR, is doing. |

| alot of people are from the tri-cities on this board. I hate "nascar". I hate living in Kingsport during it. We are in the mountains so it gets in the 30s to 40s at night and with a good wind it can chill the bones.
There are several 1000 campers there now. It looks like a sea of rv's when you drive by. People rent out their lawns to rvr's. Its quite amazing Bristol, Tennessee - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia |

You're spouting off that Cal will WHOOP Tennessee, when you have absolutely no reason to think that. Take a page from Droski - he thinks Cal will beat Tennessee, he's confident, but he doesn't push our buttons by proclaiming that somehow Cal will kill Tennessee.

| I will, btw, be in California for the game this Fall. My group of friends usually make one road trip for a game, and this year it will be Cal. Any ideas where we should stay? San Fran?

He said it is pretty cold back there. (Though cold for him could be anything, he lives in LA) How interesting. For some reason when I think of Tennessee, I think it is always hot. Shows how stupid I am. God I wish I could be there! COME ON TONY STEWART! | U guys need to get out more. |

Funny thing is how the LBS site was dissin' on us for knowing everything about fat chicks and Nascar. Most of us don't follow that stuff remotely. It's an export like country music, moon pies, coca-cola, et.al. (anything to make a buck) |

Bart makes it very easy to get to and from the game. You wont want to drive, particurally since tailgating at Cal is pretty sucky and they ticket on gamedays. |

That looks like a once in a lifetime, unique experience. |

Just walk up the stadium road and hike up the hill (only 5 minutes of hiking really until you can see the field). I have a couple of buddies that go up there and watch Cal practices every day. As for your game if you want any prayer of seeing the actual game get there at least 2 hours early. bring a chair. it's not the most comfortable way to watch a game. also make sure you don't sit near the cannon, or you might get your ears blown out. A couple of pics:
these guys will tell you anything you want to know: http://www.tightwadhill.cjb.net/

But since most of the places where you can see the whole field are on steep inclines it's not exactly the most comfortable place to watch a football game. personally i would rather pay the $50 to see the game in the actual stadium. |
