| Outback Bowl- Tenn vs. Penn St Preview (Merged) What are thier pluses? What are thier minuses?? I do know that all thier losses have been to really good ranked teams. And they played Michigan to the wire. Should be a battle.

In the end, Penn State tried to make a comeback, but they don't really have that good of an offense. They ended up throwing about three INTs that got returned for TDs. |

| Most every team that goes to the championship plays a mediocre team that plays them tough. I don't think Penn State is that good.
For one they went 8-4 and lost all 4 games against Top 25 teams. They barely beat an underachieving Michigan State team 17-13. Not to mention their only brightspot might be their defense which is pretty tough and finished 16th in the country in Total Defense. Their offense is 55th in Total Offense, and 58th in Passing offense. So we should be able to shut down Morelli farely well.
The fact of the matter is, this is a revenge game for us. They spanked us last time we played and I know Fulmer remembers it because he was an assistant coach.
Ut wins big....

| The Michigan game wasn't close. Anyone who says it was probably didn't watch it.
Penn State's defense has really evolved into a very solid group. They have an underrated runningback in Tony Hunt, but their QB, Anthony Morelli, hasn't developed as well as a lot of people thought he would. Levi Jones is a 1st round draft pick at OT.

| It'll be interesting to see the early movements and if a lot of sharp money is going on either side here. If it got to 7 I'd be tempted to take my Lions just due to the fact that I don't think there will be a lot of scoring, making it hard to cover that number.
I'll be most interested to see what sort of total goes on this game. 35-36 would be about where I'd set it. |
