| When Spurrier went to the Redskins, he was asked if he thought it would be tougher than coaching college ball. He said "yes, because they're no Vanderbilts in the NFL". |

| I dislike Steve Spurrier in the way a rivalry creates. If he coached the University of Tennessee, I would be giggling like a little schoolgirl. He's hilarious, has plenty of class, and happens to make funny jokes.

| Quote Steve Spurrier, Florida football coach, telling Gator fans that a fire at Auburn's football dorm had destroyed 20 books: "But the real tragedy was that 15 hadn't been colored yet." (1991) |

| It was a pretty tough poke at us, but I actually think "You can't spell Citrus with UT" was one of the most original sports lines since "You know, 90% of the game is half mental" - btw, was the latter a Yogi Berra line? |

it wouldnt bother me if they were making jokes about me. but its usually the team thats winning that gets to make the jokes. |

| Spurrier's cracks are always comical IMO. I agree with some of the others' posts, it is great to have him back in the SEC. |

| After reading and listening to countless media conferences with Fulmer, I welcome a little humor and unpredictability.

| Personally I think hes funny. Flame away if you want, but if he had the talent that UT had last year he would have won a NC. |

| He's annoying when he is around but you miss him when he's gone.
