| why not? last time we played them we had phenomonal passing game with some of the best recievers in college football. of course we also had henderson/haynesworth on the line, so it would be a closer game, but no reason we couldnt win. that said there is no guarantee we will win, but the O should keep us in it. |

| I think UT could beat them, doesn't mean it would happen but it's at least possible. Going solely by the numbers it's pretty close.
Team offense:
UT 421.5 ypg
MI 383 ypg
Team Defense:
MI 250.5
UT 290.1
Team Scoring (offense):
UT 35.2
MI 33.5 |

| I'm thinking about Bama now. I am just looking to win game by game and consistenly put last season in the distance.
If we did play Michigan, a lot of it would come down to could we stop Mike Hart.

| honestly michigan is weak, wow they beat an overrated ND team......other then that they play a very weak schedule, up untill now with iowa next week and then osu. My brother and brother in-law are both die hard michigan fans( i hate big ten fans) and i would want nothing more then this mathup. They say they wouldnt be worried but if this goes as planned they will be very scared. Hart will be shut down by iowa and osu the only 2 real defenses they play this year. and even them they dont have th speed that SEC has nor the talent |

| Michigan isn't weak. Iowa is a terrible team, and won't beat Michigan. Mike Hart is a great back. I think it would be a very offensive game. I think we could win it though.

| My wife and in-laws are from Michigan so this makes for a long day at my house. It is fun if we win but a really bad day if we lose. I would prefer some other team. I do think we could take them this year. I also think they lose a couple games and might not get into the BCS.

| let michigan/osu/ whatever other team every big ten fan wants to argue can play in the sec play the schedule we play and we'll see how good they are, but big ten has NOBODY...OSU/MICHIGAN thats it WEAK schedules.........OSU played TEXAS w/o vince young, and now with their very own vince young....i think OSU will win it this year but not w/o troy smith.......and Michigan BEAT A VERY OVERRATED ND team, which i have been saying all year......other then that who did they play or who do they play besides themselves NOV.18.....NOBODY--------TENN-45 michigan-14(they no longer have manningham) |

| After watching the OSU/Iowa game, I'm not sure Iowa is better than above average. We will see how strong Michigan is in the coming weeks without Manningham to stretch defenses both downfield and sideline to sideline trying to cover both he and Breaston. My feeling from watching a couple of their games is that they are still pretty good.
And before we begin putting too much stock in Rose Bowl predictions, let us remember the last time we had a clear shot to Pasedena in 2001. |

It's ridiculous. The chances of UT playing for the National Champioship are between slim and none. We can still have a GREAT season with yet another loss (which I predict we will get, if not two).
Look, we are playing great football. I don't think I've ever had as much fun watching our boys play, but we all need to CHILL. Enjoy it for what it is, and please realize that it's not a National Championship, and likely not an SEC Championship.
Let's set our goal at a BCS Bowl, out of which which we could very well get screwed. But it will be okay. Things are looking up for our Tennessee Volunteers as a program.
Enjoy this. Don't get too crazy. It's too fun. |
