| New Game: Guess Hat's Reaction This one should be fun. I will start it out: On the Cal win They were incredibly overrated. This does not say anything about our team going in the right direction. This just proves that Cal was overrated. After we beat Florida If any of you guys noticed, Florida almost lost to Southern Miss. So, I should be happy that Fulmer has brought our program to just above the level of USM?

| Actually, I believe Hat has been saying that Cal is overrated and that we would stomp them for months. I think he also just recently pointed out that Southern Miss is a good team. |

| This is a very good start. But that is exactly what it is. A start and now we need the team and staff to take the same fire and excecution to the next game. I know it is corny but this team truly needs to think about the next game only and truely take them one at a time and NEVER GET COMFORTABLE AGAIN. |

| Heh, I saw one post from him concerning the game and he complimented UT's speed on defense.
Even hat should be pleased with that result.

| I'm very glad that UT won. The victory doesn't really change my opinions regarding TCHFCATUTK but I fully realize that if the team can keep it up Fulmer will be around for the indefinite future which makes it an exercise in futility to currently perpetuate the call for a replacement. You have to take the season one game at a time and right now it's perfectly reasonable to say the Vols are as good as any other team out there. I do think we'll have a better handle on long-range prospects after the UF game. I'm not a David Climer fan but he makes a good, cautionary point in today's Tennessean although he probably could have written it with a bit less antagonism. | | Maestro of Merge | The point is well taken (even though Climer wouldn't give the Vols credit if they won the National title game and cured cancer a halftime).
I think what we're experiencing now is relief more than anything else. Once everybody regains sanity, we all realize that the Florida game will be the real barometer.

| Cal turned out to be a cupcake, we're not "back" until we've tangled with a few SEC d-fenses.
