| CBP pointed out that all 4 losses have come against teams that are very tall all across the front line. "We know that's our weakness." ... need to do a better job of everyone stepping up in games like these - had a couple of weak links tonight (didn't name names). Did say that he's been pretty quiet about "this issue," but may have to speak up: people defending against marquee post players are called for fouling all the time, but Lofton gets man-handled every game and they're just not calling it. Said Lofton is one of the best players in the league and he deserves to be protected better by the refs.
I don't have the best memory, but those were two of the biggest points I remember. |

Good info. Thanks.
Pretty obvious the weak link reference was Wingate, no need to name names. Wingate finished with 5 pts and 5 reb, while the opposing team's center finished with 17 pts and 14 rebounds.

When I read stuff like that, it really makes me wonder what this team would have been if jemere hendrix hadn't been kicked off.

| tough to say; Hendrix getting kicked off may have improved the overall chemistry of the team. Sitting at 19-4, it is hard to say that he would have made that much of a difference. It would be nice to have another big man inside though. |

| The team and CBP have done more than expected. We're just not big on the inside. Let's not worry about this one we need to look ahead. |

| | Trophy Mod | All we gotta do is win out and the Bama game will be a fluke.

| No one really thought we were going to end up 15-1 in the conference, did we?
Alabama played a terrific game, and congratulations to them - they beat a very good team. With Arkansas and Kentucky also staying in the NCAA mix by winning today, Selection Sunday's going to be VERY interesting.
Admittedly, there are no easy answers to the lack of size. I hate to belabor this point, but Wingate has GOT to step up his game. I feel strongly that he's the only player on the team who's not playing up to (or, in the case of Bradshaw and JaJuan, exceeding) his ability. |

| At some point, it becomes obvious that Wingate is what we see. An average, inconsistent player. Nothing more, nothing less. |

| Let me just say that I was at the game tonight and I love CBP.... he was sooooo nice. I got a picture with him before the game and then after the game I of course talked Kesling out of a media guide and coach autographed it. He asked me my name, personalized the autograph, even put in the auto. "thanks for being there for us", he also assured me that he was going no where...I hope he means it. He just goes the extra mile and out of his way to be nice. There were maybe 75-100 UT fans left after the game (most of them rode a bus down from K'ville I am assuming) and coach came out and addressed the remaining fans...thanking them for showing up and saying basically our defense stunk the place up. He is just so nice it is almost scarry. Bonus of the night all the Lady Vols were at the game and we got to watch them practice after the game. Other than the loss..a pretty good night. Sorry for the length, but thought some would find this interesting.
Bradshaw did have a wrist brace on after the game...cool it LIO |
