Game Day ?

This may be kind of a weird question for this site but i'm going to my first UT Football game this Saturday. I'm actually going with my dad who's from outside of Knoxville but he hasn't been to a game since the 70's. Could anybody give me some ideas about good places to park or just some general info about Knoxville on gameday. I may sound like an idiot but I'm just trying to make sure the trip goes smoothly. We'd be coming from west of Knoxville on I-40.

Thanks,
Devin

The place I always park is in a parking garage/parking lot that is on 22nd street. It is affiliated with Children's Hospital and it only cost $10. The only downfall of parking here is that it is a very very long walk to get to and from the car. Make sure that you don't miss the VolWalk if this is your first game. There are several good places to eat, but I usually just stick with one of the two places in the student center. Good luck and Have Fun!!!

There are several lots with parking available downtown off of W. Main Street and Cumberland Ave just east of Henley Street. (usually about $20 to park)

This area is less than 1 mile from the stadium. But, it is an uphill walk most of the way back from the stadium. Traffic is not bad once you make it to your car, unlike most of the area on campus and to the west of the stadium where traffic can be terrible.
