GO VOLS! | Hunter was an out-state recruit, 2010 was a slightly down year for La HS football, we really didn't expect a #5-7 ranking.
We lost 3 out of state recruits late in the year Hunter, Marsh and Davis. The only in-state guy we didn't get that we wanted was Trovon Reed who went to Auburn. 2011 class we really don't need a bunch of out of state guys. We get 90% of the in-state guys and grab 5-10 from out of state, usually east Texas and Florida. I don't think we lost any in-state guys this year that were committed and generally don't lose many.
We lost Hunter but got Boone in return and 3 other good WRs so most LSU fans are pretty happy. Actually what made most of the fans happy was getting Copeland.

Yeah, 2 years removed from the NC, we're all bummed out. |

Like I said, we will see what happens, it is very early to be counting your chickens.
Good luck, I have never had any bad blood towards LSU, and I am glad you got such a great coordinator from us in Third and Chavis. I've got too many teams to hate already with Fla, bama, Ga, and the cocks to spread hate over to you guys as well.
We usually have good games against one another.
But I would definitely rather have Hunter than Copeland any day of the week, Good trade!
Go VOLS!!! |

Go VOLS!!! | We had a need at both DT and WR, we got 3 other WRs also. Copeland was a must have need for us. I like the WRs we have, losing Hunter late in the year hurt but I think we recovered very well.
We don't count the out-state chickens, our in-state chickens are 90% locks. We should have 4-5 5-stars from the state, right now we have 3 on Scout. We have potential to pick up 1-3 out of state 5 stars as well.
The one that we might lose right now is Magee, I expect a 50/50 on him, either LSU or Alabama. He will be a 4 star when all is said and done.
Florida and Texas has the highest number of good recruits, the advantage LSU has is no competition in the state.

| The way Scout hands out 5 stars, LSU could easily have 5-8 of them by the end of the year.
And what's with scout labeling Wilder as a DE? The guy is being recruited for LB. But he could also play RB.
I know it's early, but this list is mediocre, IMO.
And no one should be afraid of LSU getting a highly rated class. Miles will just underachieve with his awesome players like normal. |

Most of the recruiting champs usually only get 4 or 5 five stars in one year.

| Expecting 6-8 5* recruits is just setting yourself up for disappointment....but keep looking through those purple glasses all you want. If Miles under achieves AGAIN this year with a roster full of 4* and 5* players it is going to get that much harder to convince those kids he can actually coach.

News to BuckeyeVols LSU had 4 5-star recruits last year, and I said 5-8 not 6-8, 5-6 is more likely which is one more than last year. 5 would be one more than last year, and this year La. has a much better class.
We have no problems getting in-state kids to sign at LSU so I would say you are looking through a prescription that is very old, matter of fact you need to go to the eye doctor.
There was only one of top Louisiana players that LSU did not sign and that was Trovon Reed, the rest all went to LSU.

| BigOrangePride here:
Dont look at just stars...if you remember Peyton Manning was only a THREE STAR!!!! WHAT?!?! yeah he was. Those stars only go to show how "prestigious" thier highschool was. Give me a hand full of 3 stars and im sure Coach Dooley and his staff can coach them up to be SEC elite...
Thank you very much
