Alabama's Class............

Considering they just came off a National Championship and seeing how the momentum in the SEC has all but shifted from FL to their direction, their class is somewhat of a disappointment don't you think?

Especially considering they had an opportunity to close with some big time recruits but really missed on all but Kouandjio and I guess Menzie.

Missed on:

Shon Coleman
James Stone
Calvin Smith
Gabe King
Christian Jones
K. Allen (Decommited for Cal)

did I miss any others?

The only one they missed on was Allen.

Stone would have been theirs long ago but they slow played him and got Arie = Stone being a Vol.

They did just fine, considering their past 2 classes were the overall #1s both years, they really didnt have a whole lot to really worry about.

They can afford to cherry pick. Lots of talent on campus already.

Dont need a #1 class to win the BCS. Just look at our 2007 class ranking for proof.

Well, it didnt help us but the last few National Champions have all had one thing in common, at least 1 top recruiting class, Bama had 2.

I am really impressed with how Florida is finishing. Must be some good selling points. Like the guys on ESPNU said with all the coaches shifting going on, I hope Urban does come back for those recruits who he told he was coming back in the fall.
