They are running a more QB friendly offense at KCHS now. Should be interesting to keep an eye on.

He certainly has nice velocity on his passes. I'm not sure you can really judge his accuracy with that video. I don't really have any basis for evaluating QBs....where do you guys think he sits in the next class? I know we had some great QBs for 2011 on our board with the last staff...have we pretty much hit the reset button in that regard?

He actually doesn't have a ranking. White stars are from users, yellow stars are from Rivals reps. The Rivals staff has not evaluated him yet.

He has been however been contacted by multiple programs and invited to junior days.

He is 0 stars right now. Rivals hasn't done their star ratings for the '11 class yet. The 4 star rating that you see is from users that voted on what he should be...which means nothing.

From what I can tell he doesn't have any offers yet if that means anything.

Old staff knew about him and was watching him. He was at skills camp at UT last June. New staff knows about him too. Word is the kid likes Notre Dame. He was recruited last fall by Cincy and now the whole staff is at ND. Dooley better move on this one or we will lose one from our own backyard. Plus, Kiffin and Ogeron would love to try to steal a UT player's brother from us.

The kid did an interview with MichiganPreps.com.

"Interview: 2011 QB Mike Wegzyn

by George Yarberry
6'5 210 lbs QB Mike Wegzyn of Northville HS is a 2011 prospect that should expect some early offers from Division 1 schools. Mike has the size, arm strength, athleticism and mechanics that will get him a lot ... "

Certainly not a must get. Yes I watched his video and thought he was very very impressive. The only fault he has is he holds the ball low. But Odds are we are only going to take 1 QB next year and there are better out there. I am a big fan of Worley from South Carolina and there are others as well.

I hope it is us. The kid looks to be a real stud (and then some). However, if Tyler Bray makes it, I can't believe this kid would want to sit for 2-3 years. Of course, if he goes to ND, he has to sit behind Tommy Rees.
