| Recruiting Violations Does anyone have a link to the rule book?
I'd be interested to read the language about the "Hostesses" thing.
Because, would it not be possible for a group of us to go to a few HS's and hold up COME TO USC signs for some top recruits. Would that be a violation for USC?
And secondly, how would the NCAA investigate that? Do they have policing ability? For instance, if they came to me and asked what school I went to (in this case I'd gladly say USC), but in the case of the Hostess, can't they just tell them to "F" off? |

| We do not report to the athletic department so nothing would come of it. However I feel it could still deter recruits seeing as I am far from a smoking hot girl. I am just a dude so they may get weirded out thinking USC promotes guy on guy love. grossss |

| to be completely honest I would pay "models" or strippers to do the same thing with other schools to the extent the NCAA has no time to look into everything if we get in trouble for this BS |

| Its considered a violation if a "booster" of the program went to a recruit outside of an official visit on campus and held up a sign or talked to him/her about the university. So if you have ever purchased anything(tickets, programs, etc.) that would benefit USC or UT then you are technically a "booster". So in theory yes it could work, and it could be a considered a violation. Had a buddy of mine clear that up for meonce the hostess situation came about. |

| Sounds like a fun trip next fall...fly out to Vegas pick up some hoookers, take them with you in a limo to SC and make a stop by 3 or 4 of there biggest recruits ball games. Have said hookers hold up signs with the players names on them and make sure said hookers are also drunk and making a scene. Take limo back to vegas with said hookers and wait for the story to spread like wildfire. |

| i heard some recruiting guy from espn on f-bomb's show not long after the hostess thing come out. According to him, as long as they went on that trip on their own money, and were not answering to the athletic dept. or anything like that, it was perfectly legal. If the AD paid for the trip over there, or was telling them what to do and say and so forth, then that was a violation. So according to him, if what they say is true, which is that they did that all on their own, we are in the clear and did nothing wrong. So he says. |
