"Under the Radar Players"
Some of you guys that follow recruiting please tell me how the ranking services like Rivals or Scout discover the players on their top 100 lists? There must be a huge number of players out there that are ripping it up and never get any publicity or scholarship offers. There is a kid at my daughter's school who just went over 1,000 yards for the season as a junior on a team with 5 losses. This kid has relatives with ties to the NFL and as far as I know nobody is looking at him. How is the upcoming talent discovered?

Take some video of him and send it to Kiffin.

An interested adult puts together highlight video and gets it to the right people. Then the kid goes to a camp and plays better than the other people there.

Zach Fulton plays against fairly awful competition so he was not rated highly but at the UT camp he looked better than much more highly rated players.
