Took the sting out just a little.

After losing Demarco Cobbs, Bruce Irvin, & Marquis Pair all in the last month i was starting to worry just a little about where this was going, but after picking up Kenbrell Thompkins it has took the sting of losing those 3 recruits out just a little. Thompkins more than makes up for losing Cobbs, but i would love to see Jeff Luc make up for losing Irvin, & add 4 good quality OL to make up for losing Pair to end this class with. We got 7 spots left according to Govolsxtra, & thats still not being able to determine who will or wont make it in with grades or who this staff might tell to look elsewhere cause we can land better prospects.

We still have Pair. We supposedly quit talking to Irvin but Cobbs is painful.

He supposedly re-opened his recruitment, so i just dont understand how these kids say their commited to one school but are opened to be recruited by others. So to me he has decommited even though technically he hasnt.

...the kid WILL be a damn good OT. He is just rather undersized ATM, and thus a redshirt candidate straight away. The staff was really impressed with him at their summer camp...really quick feet. He's just one of the few that recruiting services don't like, but the staff does. JC Copeland is another.

We have not lost anybody yet!! NSD is the day you can start complaining about losing players. CLK might be pulling off some of these kids after watching them play this season, who knows, but recruiting is the last thing I'm worried about with this bunch!

This is college recruiting. these kids change all the time. in Jan we had a top 20 recruiting class and by feb NSD we had a top 5 class. 1 month... Sh!t happens, these kids are young, dumb and full of CUM (sorry urby) and they are gonna make up their minds and change it about a million times. Whatever, I say, because I know Coach will bring in the big names, regardless what a few punks decide to do. He's got everyone's attention right now. And the positive aspects of going to the University of Tennessee are only getting greater everyday. Even the hater of everything SEC, Kirk Herbstreit, said "The VOLS are back!" And Lil Weezy is rapping about being as bad azz as our Coach. Would phat phil have ever been in a rap song or allowed black jerseys?

GO VOLS, B!

Some of you guys are going to jump off bridges before NSD. This stuff happens every year and a verbal isn't worth two cents until the ink is dry. If the Vols run the table, get in a decent bowl, recruiting is going to take care of itself. Even if that doesn't happen, it's still going to be a exceptional class regardless.

Actually he did get some love from Rivals from the camp this summer if you watch the AMP video. Said he had a motor, high energy, leader, and special player. The kid should be rated higher than a 3 star on Scott.

fwiw, Thompkins is a 5.9 4star and Cobbs is a 5.8 4star. That trade off will help our rankings for anyone who cares about that...
