I thought about that today when ESPN talked about Corps injury puts Barkley as the front runner for the next 3 weeks or so. Also, that could be the reason why all these great WR's are committing without a solid QB in place yet...Life in the Fast Lane...

Welcome! Hopefully that's true, but he has talked in interviews since committing about how redshirting and sitting the bench his first 2/3 years isn't a bad thing. I feel like if this rumor was true, he would never have committed to SC since Barkley has always been so highly touted.

since when are people allowed to create threads as first timers? and by the way, you should go ahead and get over scroggins. getting him is the equivelint of us winning the bcs championship this year. he is gone.

well some of you guys were wondering who that kicker was #10 its ethan ingam i played football with the kid at gallatin high school to years ago he wasnt our field goal kicker he just did kick offs always a touch back strong leg not really good accuracy

Corp is not going to be out that long. It's not like he had a season or career ending injury. He'll be back. This rumor is bs.

Just for everyone who thinks he'll be riding the pine, think about it this way.
If Barkley starts this year, he'll be a Junior in the 2011 season (as a 3 year starter).
Scroggins would be going in as a Freshman in 2010, and if Barkley is successful as a Freshman, then Scroggins would certainly redshirt his Freshman year.
In 2011, Barkley will be a Junior and Scroggins will be a Freshman. In the event that Barkley leaves after 3 years (very likely), Scroggins inherits the starting position as a redshirt Sophomore.

Am I the only one around these parts that sees this as a great opportunity for Scroggins?
