I've heard the opposite -- that they are in "wait and see" mode with him. If he doesn't earn the starting job at some point this year, there won't be enough to go on and there's no way he ends up at Tennessee. He may get a better offer than Stanford at some point, but that's his best and only offer so far.

That's not hard recruiting, it's just responsible recruiting. We talk to around 15 QBs once a week.
