'10 TN QB Tyler Williamson

Ht: 6-2
Wt: 210
Forty: 4.77

Knoxville Catholic HS
(Knoxville, TN

Carlos from TN Varsity just said, that the staff wanted Tyler to come by for a visit. I'm unsure if he would be targeted as a preferred walk-on with a chance to compete for a scholarship, or if they view him as a possible #2 for this class.

I don't know much about him, but he's obviously raw. I like a few throws, but there's also a couple I don't. He didn't look bad throwing on the run in the video.

I think he could be a legitimate prospect with enough support, but obviously with no Rivals or ESPNU profile he's not a regional or national prospect at this time.

Knox Catholic is supposed to be implementing a new offense, which could help to further showcase Catholic's skill players.

Here's a video:

The new offense will be some version of a spread complete with zone blocking and all. A complete departure from the offense they've been running under former coach Pemberton. They also move up in division this year playing the likes of Farragut, Bearden, Maryville, etc...

the change in offense is gonna be difficult it is for almost any qb in high school but catholic always has a great team and its gonna be difficult for them being in the new TSSAA division (which im not a big fan of by the way) but he could be a good pickup with his size and arm but i guess thats depending on this season

I would be surprised if they would take this kid over Bo Wallace from Pulaski. Wallace appears to be rated higher and has really good size. I bet they would want Williamson as a walk-on. Wallace will probably get a scholarship to a smaller school, but Williamson might not and would be more likely to come as a walk-on. JMO.....
