when josh ward interviewed mike edwards on the animal, he said that we have a "really really" good chance at landing Wynn. Edwards said that Wynn looks up to him for advice and is real tight with him so this would be a huge pickup. http://highschool.rivals.com/viewpro...1&pr_key=86407

| Quote: Considering: Offers from Ohio State, Miami, USC, Tennessee, West Virginia, North Carolina, Illinois and others. Performance: Wynn had a 94-yard touchdown return and caught a 28-yard touchdown pass in a 28-21 win over Indianapolis Warren Central. He finished with seven catches for 52 yards and one TD. Strengths: Wynn is a blur on the field and changes direction so quickly he breaks a lot of ankles. His kickoff return for a score was a thing of beauty as his simply made one cut and outran the coverage, but his touchdown catch was even more impressive as he showed the ability to go over the middle, make a catch and explode down the field. Wynn dove from the 5-yard line to the pylon for the touchdown and is a dynamic, speedy playmaker. A smaller version of Ted Ginn Jr. Weaknesses: His size is an issue as he's not a big target at all for quarterbacks. He has to rely on bubble screens, quick slants and other short hitters off the line of scrimmage to get the ball in his hands. He has the speed to separate downfield, but he's so small that passes must be perfect and he can easily be overthrown. You also have to worry about his durability. - M.F. Grade: A

"I'm just looking for a school where I fit in the best," he stated. "My official visits will be the most important part of my recruiting, and will determine where I feel the most comfortable. Distance from home will not play a part in my decision whatsoever, and I'm prepared to go far from home if it's the right school. I believe I have around 25 offers."
"I don't have any visits set up at this time, but I will be looking to get that done pretty soon," he stressed. "I'm still considering every school that has offered me. I need to sit down with (head coach) Ted Ginn and figure out the best places to visit. I'm looking at schools like North Carolina, Ohio State, USC, Miami, Michigan, Tennessee, and a lot of others. I hate to say too much about each individual school, because I would hate to leave someone out."

| For a guy that small I didn't expect as good as an offer list, wow. Reminds me of a Trendin Holliday from LSU. Durability is a huge issue. Guys this small simply don't get utilized that much unless it's special teams. Posted via VolNation Mobile |

| If that offer list is for real this isn't a three star kid. I don't care what some internet recruiting service says if you have offers from Miami, USC, OSU, UT, and Michigan you are a huge talent. |

| We had two strategies for getting this kid...
One was a relationship with mike edwards...
Two was watching evander wells be our main kick returner and convince him he could star early in a similar role...
Tough to do now.
Next year we will have da'rick, justin hunter, milton and zach rogers. Dooley wants a percy harvin size guy for specific plays and also returns. This guy fits the bill but I would be surprised if we get him. Posted via VolNation Mobile |
