Fully aware Baty doesn't start, but he looked very precise and coordinated today in the game on ESPN. Is he the immediate answer UT is looking for? probably not. Could he be a good QB for the Vols a couple of years down the road? I certainly think so.

well yeah Bray is likely the better QB, but if he gets an offer from UCLA or Cal it won't really matter b/c he'll be playing his ball on the west coast....

but UCLA and Cal already have their QBs and it's highly unlikely they offer him

True, but b/c Bray seems to be soooo talented and he's already a big UCLA fan I can almost see the Bruins offering just for the hell of having another excellent QB and dare I say, maybe even just to scorn UT...... hopefully you're right though.... I'd LOVE to have Bray, but I really think Baty is pretty good too and a very strong, viable option if things don't go as planned in the QB hunt.

i watched st thomas aquina play in ohio at the horeshoe against a local team ,he is a very good qb who made passes that very few highschool qb make ,great arm can scramble out of pocket to get away from pressure and throw the ball down field,if he was at ut right now he would be a starter by game 3 or 4,but i still think scroggins will decommit from usc once he see,s true freshmen matt barkley who was a top 5 qb last year start from beginning to end of season ,and he dont want to sit for 2 or 3 years he wants to play alot as a freashmen maby be a starter by 4 or 5 game if not from beginning ,ut will get a good qb in upcoming class and a couple more top notch o linemen and and fill out all their needs and finish with another top 10 class, maby top five if the vols do what i expect and win 9 games

From what I've read, that's not what's important to him.

That would just make NO sense. I doubt Baty ever had a written offer from us.
